I love subs!

I've traveled around the world twice during my six year Navy career. I tried to indulge myself in as many exotic foods that I could during my travels. Even after everything I tried nothing makes me happier then a good Italian sub. During my time in Italy I ate numerous subs but to my surprise I enjoyed American's version of Italian subs better. In our local Maricopa area I have only really found one amazing Italian sub but I do have a few other sub places I still go to because of the price and variety. Bread and good meat is the key to a good sub for me. I love hard crusted bread with a soft center. Capicola is the key ingredient to a good Italian sub.

I discovered Jersey Mike's with my friend Zach as I was living in Norfolk, Virginia. Jersey Mike's give's me the best of worlds with their Italian sub. The sub has a really soft bread that melts in your mouth. The meat is good quality but is nothing compared to my #1 choice. I like the atmosphere of this place too because it feels so homey. Luckily when I moved back to the Phoenix area they were a few locations here.


#2 Mr. Goodcents                                4920 W Thunderbird Rd #101  Glendale, AZ 85306

Mr. Goodcents is more of the typical sub place with average pricing. I love that their menu has so much more besides subs, such as Alfredo and lasagna. Lets get right down to business though and talk about their Italian sub. The bread here is absolutely amazing if you like soft bread. It really just melts in your mouth. Once again the meat quality is only sub-par but they do have a great selection of veggies that are worth trying.

Villa Deli is a authentic Italian shop deli. All products they use to make subs can be purchased at their deli counter to make at home.  First and foremost their meat quality is Boar's Head only. Their bread is homemade and has that perfect crunch to soft once eaten. Bug juice is the name for their homemade sauce and it is a mandatory on any sub! My favorite subs here is the Capicola and the Italian. I would highly recommend this place to anyone looking for a great experience and sub. 

#1 Blog's Blog's Blog's

Blog's, Blog's, Blog's. It's ironic that I'm writing a blog talking about blogs. I am excited with this overall project for blogging. I really feel it's interesting to see people's characters come out in their blogs. As for my opinion on blogs? I love blogs. I love any chance that I can interest an audience to read what I'm writing. I read a lot of forums as well, so reading a blog isn't that far off from what I'm used to. I scrolled through many blogs trying to find ones that I enjoy outside of the normal sites that I scroll through. Even though I didn't enjoy every blog, I did learn different techniques and ideas from them.

Billy DeLap is a old friend from the Navy and I love reading his blog because everything he writes about he shows so much passion towards. He also shows a very pro-military and pro-gun outlook and I enjoy reading ideas that are very similar. I love this article because he really defines a huge problem with military members in college that just feel out of place and he really stresses the importance of having a Veteran's lounge. Due to my personal relationship with the writer I might find humor in things he writes more then other readers because I can picture the situation with him saying it.

I've always been a huge baseball and football fan even though Arizona teams have a tendency to be extremely depressing to watch. I love Dave's blog because he has a light sense of humor but still is very informative. This blog has very intelligent writers that are very well spoken, but I feel as if they try to maintain a blog on the entire world of games. I believe they need to look at something more specific. If they went to just one console or even one genre of gaming, they would be able to give more thorough information instead of the three minutes they spend on every article. I do like that a few of the writers have some liberties on how they write and can show their sense of humor. Another problem with this blog, is the site is very slow at loading, which can be extremely frustrating. 

Overall the experience of finding blogs was very interesting because of how certain authors delivered the information to the readers. Until next time, Safe adventures! 

Hello! 

My name is Michael Boyce. I am a 26 year old full time college student. As a veteran of the United States Navy, education is not only a hobby but also my job. As a teenager the military was a obligation that all of my close friends and I decided to embark on. On my adventures in the military I was stationed on CVN-75 USS. Harry S. Truman. I have never enjoyed anything in my life as much as I did while serving in the military. On board the ship I served as a communications electrician. The biggest perk of serving in the Navy is traveling overseas. After six years of service I decided to embark on a new voyage, civilian life. I originally attended GCC in 2005 after my graduation from High School. I decided to part ways with school due to my lack of motivation and care. Music and writing is a way of life. I would love to pursue a Creative Writing degree or Journalism but I'm nervous that finding a job would be a struggle. On my off time I enjoy a good book, working out, video games, writing, spending time with my girlfriend, and playing darts. 

After watching that darts video I hope you recognized my "Fad" hair back then. Honestly though I really love playing a good game of darts with friends but it is not even close to what those two dart players do. I'm currently attending GCC for an associates degree.
